Last year there was one, this year three. MAP North Members Ethan Haider, Nate Thelen, and Brady Meyer have had quite the spring so far. All three performed extremely well among their peers and were selected to the 16’s (Haider and Thelen) and 17’s (Meyer), 2017 USA Hockey Boys Select National Development Camp.
Through their hard work these three have caught the eye of many coaches and scouts. It will be exciting to see how they continue to develop and how far they will go!

Freshman Ethan Haider hails from Maple Grove. This year he help backstopped the Crimson to a state tourney appearance. Ethan was 10-4, with a 2.07 GAA and a .915 SV% and 3 Shutouts. Because of his solid winter and spring, Ethan was drafted in Phase 1 of the USHL draft by the Cedar Rapids Rough Riders.

Sophomore Nate Thelen has been a staple on the blue line for the Roger Royals for the last two years. The rock solid defenseman has put up 23 points in 46 games. He known for his solid defensive play and puck moving abilities.

Sophomore Brady Meyer has already played 2 varsity seasons for the North Branch Vikings. Brady has led his team in points in each of the last two years. This year in 24 games he had 31 goals and 23 assists for 54 points. Brady’s combination of size and skill didn’t go unnoticed in the USHL either. He was taken Phase 2 of the USHL draft by the Bloomington Thunder.
